JAPAN SENDS EMERGENCY RELIEF TEAM TO INDONESIA

THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT SAID SATURDAY IT WAS SENDING
AN EMERGENCY RELIEF TEAM TO INDONESIA'S QUAKE-STRICKEN JAVA PROVINCE, DPA REPORTED.
THE TEAM, WHICH INCLUDES MEDICAL STAFF, IS DUE TO ARRIVE IN
INDONESIA ON SUNDAY.
THE FOREIGN MINISTRY IN TOKYO HAS ALREADY ESTABLISHED A CONTACT
OFFICE TO HELP THE VICTIMS OF THE QUAKE.
OVER 2,700 ARE FEARED DEAD AFTER THE QUAKE, REGISTERING 6.2 ON THE
RICHTER SCALE, ROCKED THE YOGYAKARTA AREA OF JAVA LATE FRIDAY.
