TWO BRITISH SOLDIERS WERE KILLED BY A ROADSIDE BOMB AS THEY PATROLLED IN THEIR ARMORED VEHICLE NEAR THE SOUTHERN IRAQI CITY OF BASRA ON SATURDAY NIGHT, THE MINISTRY OF DEFENSE SAID. A THIRD SOLDIER WAS INJURED. THE MINISTRY SAID THE ATTACK HAPPENED AT 11.45 P.M. IRAQI TIME ON SATURDAY WHILE THE SOLDIERS CARRIED OUT A ROUTINE PATROL NORTH OF BASRA. ALL THREE SOLDIERS WERE FROM THE ROYAL ANGLIAN REGIMENT. A BRITISH HELICOPTER RECOVERED THE MEN, WHO WERE TAKEN TO A MILITARY HOSPITAL, ACCORDING TO A REPORT OF REUTERS.
