A delegation of the Saudi Scouts Society will participate in an international meeting of the Global Peace Award, due to be organized in London on May 12-16, 2006. The World Scouts Organization has named five countries including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to represent the global peace initiative. The Saudi Scouts delegation will highlight the Kingdom's role in the field of justice, equality,and global peace. It will also give an idea about the international scouts camp on "exchange of civilizations and cultures" earlier organized in the Industrial City of Jubail. It is worth mentioning that the World Scouts Organization has lauded the peace award which carries the name of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on the occasion of the celebrations due to be organized next year to mark the centennial anniversary for the establishment of the scouts movement in the world. Dominek Bernard, the deputy secretary general of the World Scouts Organization, said the organization has received the award of King Abdullah for the support of the international scouts work for peace which will positively contribute to enhancing the pillars of tolerance, love and peace in the world. In his message to Dr Abdullah al-Fahd, the secretary general of the Saudi Scouts Society, Bernard said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a lot of programs and peace projects that might have a positive impact on the youth throughout world.
