TOXIC MOONSHINE KILLED 15 IRANIANS AND BLINDED ANOTHER IN THE SOUTHERN PROVINCE OF KERMAN, KAYHAN NEWSPAPER SAID ON WEDNESDAY.
ALCOHOL HAS BEEN OUTLAWED SINCE THE 1979 ISLAMIC REVOLUTION BUT HOME-MADE AND SMUGGLED ALCOHOL ARE WIDELY AVAILABLE ON IRAN'S BLACK MARKET.
"IN TOTAL, 15 PEOPLE IN THE PROVINCE, POISONED BY HOME-MADE ALCOHOL, DIED AND ONE BECAME BLIND," LOCAL OFFICIAL ALI FAKHER TOLD KAYHAN.
