KING ABDULLAH CHAIRS CABINET'S SESSION
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 24 - 04 - 2006

THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ AL SAUD CHAIRED THE CABINET'S WEEKLY SESSION AT AL-YAMAMAH PALACE IN RIYADH ON MONDAY.
AT THE OUTSET OF THE SESSION, THE KING BRIEFED THE CABINET ON THE CONTENTS OF CONTACTS, MEETINGS AND CONSULTATIONS HELD OVER THE PREVIOUS DAYS WITH LEADERS AND ENVOYS OF COUNTRIES AND GOVERNMENTS ON BILATERAL RELATIONS AND ISSUES AT THE REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ARENAS.
IN A STATEMENT TO THE SAUDI PRESS AGENCY (SPA) FOLLOWING THE SESSION, THE MINISTER OF CULTURE AND INFORMATION IYAD BIN AMIN MADANI SAID THAT THE CABINET EXPRESSED ITS APPRECIATION OF THE CHINESE PRESIDENT FOR HIS ADDRESS DELIVERED AT THE SHOURA COUNCIL. THE CONTENTS OF THE ADDRESS KEEPS ABREAST OF THE MONARCH'S CONTINUAL AFFIRMATION THAT WORLD'S PROSPERITY IS AN INDIVISIBLE WHOLE; COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT IS THE ONLY WAY OF STABILITY; THE NEXT STAGE IN RELATIONS BETWEEN COUNTRIES AND NATIONS SHOULD BE A STAGE OF REAL DIALOGUE; EVERY PARTY SHOULD RESPECT THE OTHER; EACH ONE SHOULD RESPECT THE OTHER'S SANCTITY, BELIEF AND IDENTITY; WARS DESTROY NOT BUILD; AND THERE IS NEITHER VICTORY NOR DEFEAT IN WAR.
RAPPROCHEMENT BETWEEN THE KINGDOM, WITH ITS ISLAMIC AND ECONOMIC INFLUENCE AND WORLD POSITION, AND CHINA, WITH ITS DEEP ROOTED CIVILIZATION AND PROSPEROUS PRESENT AND FUTURE AS A WORLD POWER, WILL BE IN THE INTEREST OF THE TWO COUNTRIES AND A PILLAR OF THE WORLD WHERE COOPERATION AND EQUALITY PREVAIL AMONG COUNTRIES, THE CABINET SAID.
ON THE DEVELOPMENTS AT THE IRAQI ARENA, THE CABINET HOPED THAT THE SELECTION OF POLITICAL LEADERSHIPS WILL BE AN IMPETUS FOR FORMING A BALANCED, GENUINE, NATIONAL GOVERNMENT THAT CAN LEAD IRAQ OUT OF ITS PLIGHT, ACHIEVE STABILITY AND STRENGTHEN IRAQ'S BONDS WITH THE ARAB WORLD.
ON THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE, THE CABINET VOICED AGAIN ITS CALL THAT THE LANGUAGE OF DIALOGUE AMONG THE PALESTINIAN FACTIONS OUGHT TO BE THE ONLY WAY FOR ACHIEVING THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE'S RIGHTS THAT HAVE BEEN ENDORSED BY THE INTERNATIONAL LEGITIMACY.
