Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at his office in the city of Kuwait today visiting Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah. Al-Atiyyah is on a GCC member states tour which will also take him to the rest of the six-nation group to consult with their leaders about the arrangements to hold the Consultative Conference scheduled for Riyadh on 6th of May 2006. In a statement, Al-Atiyyah said he has also discussed with Sheikh Sabah the outcome of his visit to Yemen last week and his meeting with President Ali Abdullah Salih during which they dealt with measures to convene the donors conference. Also discussed at the meeting with the Emir of Kuwait were the Palestinian issue, situation in Iraq, and Iran's nuclear file, Al-Atiyyah said. Later, Al-Atiyyah conferred with Kuwait's Heir Apparent Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Nassir Almohammed Alsabah.
