PRESIDED OVER BY ITS CHAIRMAN DR. SALIH BIN ABDULLAH BIN HOMAID, THE SHOURA COUNCIL HELD AN ORDINARY SESSION IN RIYADH TODAY. AT THE OUTSET OF THE SESSION, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL SAID THE COUNCIL RECENTLY PARTICIPATED IN A CONFERENCE OF PARLIAMENTS OF ORGANIZATION OF ISLAMIC CONFERENCE MEMBER COUNTRIES IN TURKEY. DR. BIN HOMAID ADDED THAT THE CONFERENCE UNDERLINED A NUMBER OF ISSUES ESPECIALLY CONCERNING DIALOGUE AMONG CIVILIZATIONS, RESPECT OF PROPHETS, THE CONCEPT OF TERRORISM AND THE NEED FOR DIFFERENTIATION BETWEEN IT AND RESISTANCE OF AGGRESSION AND OCCUPATION. SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE SHOURA COUNCIL DR. SALIH BIN ABDULLAH ALMALIK SAID IN A STATEMENT TO THE SAUDI PRESS AGENCY THAT DURING TODAY'S SESSION, THE COUNCIL DISCUSSED A NUMBER OF ISSUES INCLUDING WATER DESALINATION AND APPROVED A NUMBER OF RECOMMENDATIONS TO IMPROVE THE AVAILABILITY OF DESALINATED WATER.
