A Turkish military helicopter on Monday exploded in mid-air before crashing into the roof of a factory in northwestern Turkey, killing four soldiers aboard and injuring two factory workers, private CNN-Turk and NTV televisions reported. The helicopter crashed during a military exercise near the town of Uzunciftlik in Kocaeli province, east of Istanbul, Gov. Erdal Ata said. Witnesses said the helicopter exploded in mid-air before it crashed into the factory, reports said. Television footage showed wreckage scattered in an area close to the factory. The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
