QATARI EMIR SHEIKH HAMAD BIN KHALIFA AL THANI WILL OPEN A THREE-DAY INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON DEMOCRACY AND FREE TRADE DEVELOPMENT, SCHEDULED TO START ITS DELIBERATIONS IN DOHA ON APRIL 11. MORE THAN 560 DELEGATES, AMONG THEM KEY POLITICIANS AND PARLIAMENTARIANS, INTELLECTUALS, ACADEMICIANS AND ECONOMISTS, FROM SOME 72 COUNTRIES, WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE CONVENTION. AT LEAST 156 DELEGATES HAVE BEEN INVITED FROM ASIA, 118 FROM THE AMERICAS AND SOME 50 FROM AFRICA, HE SAID. THE FORUM WILL BE HELD AT DOHA SHERATON. IN ADDITION, 300 DELEGATES FROM QATAR WILL BE ATTENDING, ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE OF THE ORGANIZERS OF THE CONVENTION.
