TEN PEOPLE PROTESTING AGAINST A FRENCH YOUTH LABOUR LAW WERE INJURED IN PARIS ON FRIDAY WHEN A DRIVER APPARENTLY DROVE INTO THE GROUP OF DEMONSTRATORS INTENTIONALLY, A POLICE SOURCE SAID. THE PROTESTERS WERE CROSSING A BOULEVARD NEAR THE CAPITAL'S LATIN QUARTER WHEN THEY WERE STRUCK BY THE CAR 'IN A DELIBERATE MANNER,' POLICE SAID. ONE OF THE INJURED WAS THE DRIVER, WHO WAS ATTACKED BY DEMONSTRATORS AFTER HE WAS STOPPED BY POLICE. NONE OF THE INJURIES WERE BELIEVED TO BE SERIOUS. IN A RELATED DEVELOPMENT, THE UNEF STUDENT UNION SAID IT WOULD CARRY OUT ANOTHER NATIONAL PROTEST AGAINST THE FIRST JOB CONTRACT, INCLUDING STREET MARCHES AND ACTS OF CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE, ON TUESDAY. 'WE MUST MAINTAIN THE PRESSURE DESPITE THE SPRING SCHOOL BREAK THAT WILL HAVE BEGUN,' AN OFFICIAL FROM THE UNION SAID. THE PROTESTS WILL LIKELY INCLUDE BLOCKING MOTORWAYS, RAIL LINES AND COMMERCIAL SITES, AS HAS BEEN THE STRATEGY OF SECONDARY SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS OVER THE PAST TWO WEEKS. --MORE 22 11 LOCAL TIME 19 11 GMT
