A BOMB EXPLODED AT A SHOP SELLING IRAQI SCRAP METAL, KILLING TWO JORDANIANS AND WOUNDING FOUR OTHERS MONDAY, THE OFFICIAL PETRA NEWS AGENCY REPORTED.
THE BLAST OCCURRED WHEN A PROSPECTIVE BUYER WAS LOOKING AT SOME OF THE MERCHANDISE. A BOMB DETONATED, KILLING THE BUYER AND THE SHOP OWNER INSTANTLY, THE AGENCY REPORTED.
THE EXPLOSION TOOK PLACE IN KHALIDIYAH, A VILLAGE ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF MAFRAQ, 70 KILOMETERS (43 MILES) NORTH OF THE JORDANIAN CAPITAL OF AMMAN, THE AGENCY SAID.
THE SHOP SELLS IRON RODS AND OTHER SCRAP IMPORTED FROM IRAQ.
NO OTHER DETAILS WERE IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE.
