In line with the directives of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the interior minister, the Saudi popular campaign for the assistance of victims of the earthquake in Pakistan, has been working round-the-clock for providing the victims with food supplies. Executive Director of the campaign Yousef al-Rubei'an said the campaign has signed a contract with a national company for providing the campaign with 50,000 food baskets from the Pakistani market through a convoy of trucks. Each truck will be carrying about 300 food baskets to the stores of the campaign in Islamabad. The food supplies will be distributed to the victims in the affected regions. In a statement to SPA, al-Rubei'an said the first batch of trucks will arrive at the stores on Monday carrying about 7000 food baskets . He noted that each basket contains flour, rice, oil, sugar, milk, dates and canned food which will meet the requirements of a medium family for a month.
