President George W. Bush has offered U.S. aid to Iran following three strong earthquakes and several aftershocks jolted western Iran overnight, killing at least 70 people. Speaking at a summit with Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper in the resort city of Cancun, Mexico, Bush told reporters, "First, I do want to offer my country's assistance to the people affected by the recent earthquakes in Iran." "We obviously have differences with the Iranian government, but we do care about the suffering of Iranian people," Bush said.
