President George W. Bush believes Treasury Secretary John Snow is doing a "great job," White House spokesman Scott McClellan said. Asked whether the president was still confident in Snow and whether he would continue to serve at the department, McClellan replied, "I never speculate on personnel matters, but the president appreciates the great job that Secretary Snow is doing. He is an important member of our economic team." There has been speculation that Snow, who has served more than three years as Treasury chief, may resign before the end of Bush's second term.
