At least six people were killed and 36 wounded on Thursday when a suicide car bomber rammed his vehicle into a checkpoint outside the headquarters of the Iraqi police's major crimes unit in Baghdad, police said, according to Reuters. Police said most of the casualties were policemen, wounded or killed when the car bomber drove at high speed into the checkpoint. Ambulances rushed to the scene and police quickly sealed off the area.
