The Joint Committee between the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization -ISESCO- and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization -UNESCO- has ended its meeting in Rabat with the signature of the meeting's minutes by ISESCO's Deputy Director General, Dr. Hadi Azizzadeh, and UNESCO's Assistant Director General for External Relations and Cooperation, Dr. Ahmed Sayyad. During this preliminary meeting, the two parties convened to implement 135 activities during the years 2006-2007 in the fields of education, science, culture, communication, information and documentation, in addition to the activities geared to Al-Quds Al-Sharif and Sarajevo. They agreed also to carry out activities relative to the members of parliament heads of education commissions in the Member States. It should be noted that the Directors General of the two organizations will sign the joint action programme, in its final version, at an official ceremony to be held in UNESCO headquarters in Paris next May.
