Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen held delegation-level talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi Monday, reported dpa. Their discussions covered bilateral trade, investment and issues relating to regional and international security, Indian diplomatic sources said. Vanhanen, who arrived in the Indian capital Sunday, earlier met with Minister for Civil Aviation Praful Patel, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora, and Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Minister TR Baalu. During discussions with Indian shipping minister, the two sides decided India and Finland would jointly explore areas of cooperation in highways, shipping and port sectors, besides form joint ventures in cargo handling equipment, PTI news agency reported. Giving an address at a business luncheon organised by Indian chambers of commerce and industry, Vanhanen said fast-growing economies like India, China and Brazil needed to engage in reciprocal liberalization and make significant commitments within the World Trade Organization (WTO). --More 23 35 Local Time 20 35 GMT
