The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided aid worth $ 180 million for countries of the African Coast suffering from drought from 1401 to 1426H. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, the Minister of Finance and Chairman of Board of Directors of Saudi Development Fund pointed out that the Saudi Program for Wells Digging and Rural Development in Africa has executed projects which have benefited more than 2.5 million people from rural areas in ten countries including Mauritania, Mali, Chad, Senegal, Niger, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Gambia, GuineaBissau and Cape Verde.
