Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian teenager Thursday during a gunfight in the Balata refugee camp, Palestinian hospital officials said. The 19-year-old was shot outside his home near the Nablus-area refugee camp, relatives said. The family said Ibrahim Asadi was shot three times and was unarmed. The army said soldiers fired at a group of youths throwing firebombs. The troops fired back, hitting members of the group, the army was quoted as saying by the Associated Press. The army has been operating in the refugee camp since Sunday. Earlier this week, residents complained that the three-day curfew had led to a shortage of food and water.
