Prince Saud Alfaisal, the Foreign Minister, received at his office in Riyadh today the Foreign Minister Netherlands Bernard Bot who is on an official visit to the Kingdom. Following the meeting, Prince Saud Alfaisal said they reviewed a number of issues in view of the good relations binding the two friendly countries which are characterized by cordiality, credibility and transparency. Speaking to reporters, he said we had long talk about European Arab relations, hoping that some measures would be taken to prevent repetition of such insulting cartoons to prophets. He added that issues relating to the Middle East and the recently-concluded parliamentary elections in the Palestinian arena and the forthcoming Israeli elections were reviewed. Bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of developing them as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern were also discussed, he said. On his part, Bot said we have discussed the Middle East peace process and how to deal with HAMAS in the coming period as we have dealt with Fatah in the past. --More 19 09 Local Time 16 09 GMT
