Egypt beat the Ivory Coast 4-2 on penalties to claim victory in the African Cup of Nations final Friday after the match finished scoreless at the end of 90 minutes and a further 30 minutes of extra time. Mohamed Aboutrika scored the winning penalty for Egypt, who have now won the tournament a record five times while Ivory Coast remain with just one title to their credit. Ahmed Hassan, Mohamed Abdelwahab and Amr Zaki also scored for Egypt while substitute Abdel Halim Ali missed with his effort.
