Units from Saudi Arabia' naval and air forces, coast guard and civil defense are participating in search and rescue operations launched following the mishap of the Egyptian ferry "Al-Salam-98" which sank while on journey from the Saudi port of Dhiba to the Egyptian port of Safajah early Friday. Coast guard center for search and rescue in Makkah follows the operations and coordinates with the search and rescue center in Egypt.
