Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz is likely to visit Britain in the first week of March, officials said. Aziz will be among the main speakers at a conference being organized by the British Department for International Development (DFID) in collaboration with the World Bank and Asian Development Bank. The conference, titled "Asia 2015-Promoting Growth, Ending Poverty," would take place in London on March 6-7. The conference would focus attention on building new forms of partnerships to eradicate poverty in Asia where 650 million people live on less than $1 a day while 882 millions are undernourished. The prime minister is expected to call on Prime Minister Tony Blair and would also meet parliamentarians and members of the Pakistani community during his visit.
