Saudi Minister of Hajj Dr. Fu'ad bin Abdulsalam Alfarsi today described the outcome of the just-concluded Symposium on Humanitarian Civilizations and Cultures: from Dialogue to Alliance" as positive. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the conclusion of the symposium, organized in Tunis over the last three days by the Rabat-based Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Alfarsi said the symposium was characterized by a good presence of western participants. He expressed hope that the west would show more interest in dialogue with us to co-forge an alliance against terrorism, poverty, hatred, bigotry and natural disasters. He suggested that the symposium was good and effective. He congratulated ISESCO on the success of the symposium, citing that third of the participants were westerners and representing organizations interested in the issue of dialogue among civilizations of today. On the other hand, Alfarsi denounced the insults of Islam recently appearing in some Danish media, particularly blasphemous to Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).
