Finland's left-leaning President Tarja Halonen is on track to win re-election on Sunday in a run-off against conservative challenger Sauli Niinisto, according to a television projection, Reuters reported. Halonen, Finland's first woman president, would win 52.1 percent of the popular vote, public broadcaster YLE forecast, with 83.5 percent of ballots counted. Halonen needs a simple majority to win a second and final six-year term.
