A high-level US delegation met Saturday with Ethiopian Prime Mister Meles Zenawi for the first round of talks aimed at breaking the impasse on the country's border dispute with neighbouring Eritrea, according to DPA. The talks, led on the US side by Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Jendayi Fraser, centred on resolving the dispute over the demarcation of the disputed border, the official Ethiopian News Agency reported. The talks also dealt with bilateral US-Ethiopian relations and issues arising at the two-day African Union summit which opens Monday in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum.
