The first face-to-face talks between negotiators from Serbia and the Kosovo Albanians on the future status of Kosovo are expected to be postponed following the death on Saturday of Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova, U.N. special envoy Martti Ahtisaari said. The talks had been scheduled for Vienna next Wednesday but will now likely take place some time in early February out of respect for Rugova, the former Finnish president, who is also chief mediator for talks on Kosovo's future, told Reuters.
