Cheney, Mubarak confer on latest developments in Palestine and Israel

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met here today with the visiting US Vice President, Dick Cheney.
They reviewed the latest developments in Palestine and Israel and their expected impact in the light of the critical health situation of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.
They also reviewed the new developments at the Lebanese and Syrian arenas, the current situation in Iraq as well as the bilateral relations between Egypt and the United States.
Cheney arrived in Cairo on Monday on a brief visit to Egypt.
Yesterday, he met with Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Ahmad Nazeef.
