Quds, Jan 15, SPA-- Israel's cabinet voted unanimously Sunday to allow Palestinians living in Israeli-occupied East of Al-Quds to vote in the forthcoming January 25 Palestinian legislative elections, DPA reported. Ballot boxes will be set up at post offices, as was the case in the Palestinians' 1996 legislative and 2005 presidential elections. Israel had originally threatened to ban East Al-Quds Palestinians from taking part in the elections, a threat which led the Palestinian Authority to warn that elections could be cancelled unless voters living in the Palestinian-dominated section of the holy city were allowed to cast their ballots.
