A Taliban suicide car bomber attacked a convoy of Canadian troops in the heart of the southern Afghan city of Kandahar on Sunday, senior police said, according to Reuters. Witnesses said they saw four soldiers being stretchered away, but they were unsure if they were wounded or dead. One of the vehicles was overturned and completely wrecked by the explosion. Foreign troops cordoned off the site.
