Minister of Health Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Manei affirmed Saturday that the health condition of pilgrims is stable and so far there has been no infectious or epidemic diseases in all places of pilgrims' gathering. Addressing a press conference here, Al-Manei said the necessary health services were provided to pilgrims and that all required preventive measures were also undertaken at the entry points and at the holy sites. Al-Manei also said that 98.4% of pilgrims coming from abroad were vaccinated against meningitis and the preventive medicines were given to 385, 000 pilgrims in addition to immunizing all African pilgrims against yellow fever. As regards pilgrims from inside the Kingdom, he said that the meningitis vaccines were provided to all health centers and the number of those vaccinated in Makkah reached 266, 979 pilgrims whereas the number of vaccinated reached 299, 691 in Madinah, pointing out that a million and a half doses had been provided all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With regard to insects' search, Al-Manei said that 53 mature mosquitoes' locations were found containing no positive locations and regarding locations of breeding mosquitoes he said that 64 locations were found and necessary measures were undertaken immediately.
