Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will be transporting 125,000 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia through 346 flights till January 4. The PIA has so far taken 83777 Hajj pilgrims to the Holy Land through 242 flights operating from the four provincial capitals and Islamabad, a PIA spokesman said. He said that the PIA was trying to maintain 95 per cent regularity. The PIA has flown 23631 pilgrims from Karachi by 58 flights, 20126 from Islamabad by 45 flights, 20642 from Lahore by 47 flights. From Peshawar the airline has taken 11867 pilgrims through 56 flights. From Quetta, the PIA provided services to 7511 pilgrims through 36 flights. The PIA would also operate 54 Hajj flights directly for Madinah, 9 flights from Karachi, 23 from Lahore and 22 from Islamabad.
