British police have opened a triple murder investigation after a nighttime fire tore through a home, killing a couple and fatally wounding their disabled son, police said Saturday, AP reported. The couple's 35-year-old son, who was blind, died from severe burns Saturday morning at the Northern General Hospital in the northern English city of Sheffield. His retired parents, ages 68 and 65, were found dead in an upstairs bedroom of their home earlier Saturday, after what police believe was a deliberate fire started in a trash can outside. None of the three victims has been publicly identified. Superintendent Andy Brooke, of the South Yorkshire Police, told the British Broadcasting Corp. that police had launched a murder investigation. Three youths arrested in connection with the blaze were in custody at a local police station.
