Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here yesterday the Commander of Italian Coasts Guards General Luciano. During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between Yemen and Italy and prospects of enhancing cooperation in various fields, especially in security, war on terrorism and protecting coasts. They also reviewed the Italian support to Yemen which will be in the form of sea radars that will cover the Yemeni coasts throughout two stages, and associated assistance in technical training. It is worth mentioning that Italy will cover the cost of the second phase of the Yemeni sea radar which will be more than thirty million Euros within the Italian support to the Yemeni Coasts Guards.
