the london-based 'independent' newspaper has reported under the section of ' brief world news' that saudi prince alwaleed bin talal bin abdulaziz has donated $40 million to the universities of harvard and georgetown to support the islamic studies.
the newspaper said prince alwaleed hoped that his contribution would strengthen understanding between the east and the west for peace.
