Police used tear gas and a water canon Sunday to push back young partygoers protesting a ban on a rave party in western France, AP reported Police said they took 31 people into custody during the clashes in the historic center of Rennes, where young demonstrators broke a dozen windows, burned trash cans, damaged four vehicles and tore paving stones out of the streets. Two police officers had slight injuries, while several demonstrators were treated for exposure to the cold and alcohol consumption.
