President Vladimir Putin Friday signalled he was willing to scrap the most controversial parts of a highly criticized bill that would severely retrict the activities of foreign-funded non-governmental organizations in Russia. Putin in a Kremlin statement said that he supported eliminating a clause that would require foreign NGOs to re-register as de facto Russian entities.
