Iranian Minister of Industries & Mines Ali Reza Tahmasbi has affirmed here Iran's readiness to expand the bilateral industrial cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Following the departure of Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad to Saudi Arabia to participate in the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) summit, Tahmasbi said that the growing bilateral industrial cooperation could transform ties in varied fields, pointing to the geographic importance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran. Tahmasbi added that the two countries have several potentialities to cooperate in the fields of economy and industry, especially in cars manufacturing, steel, aluminum and oil projects. Also, he described the relationships between the two countries as positive at all levels and mentioned that the two countries have promoted coordination to enlarge the economic relations. Moreover, he affirmed that such expansion in economic and industrial relations would develop the political relationships. On his part, Iranian President's advisor and chairman of Higher Council for Governorates Mahdi Jamran said that the relationships between the Kingdom and Iran have improved throughout the past five years, noting that such improvement would support all Islamic countries' interests. In addition to this, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for African and Arab affairs Mohammad Reza Baqari mentioned that the relationships between Saudi Arabia and Iran are fraternal at all levels.
