On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region inaugurated here today the 2nd Economic Riyadh Forum entitled '' Towards Sustainable Development'' organized by Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Upon arrival at the venue, Prince Salman was received by Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Hashim bin Abdullah Yamani; the Chamber's Chairman of Board of Directors Abdulrahman Al-Jeraisi and the Forum's members of the Steering Committee. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. Then the Prince watched a documentary film on the Forum. Addressing the ceremony, Prince Salman said that we live in a stage dictating many challenges which require a massive and objective vision to develop economic mechanisms based on studies and correct and scientific bases. This matter becomes increasingly important with our accession to the World Trade Organization which demands different administration of the economy to ensure a strong and competitive economy, the Prince said. He noted that the Kingdom has done much in preparation for this stage and focused on strengthening the infrastructure needed by the business sector to prosper and by the state to attract national and foreign capitals. The Prince also inaugurated an exhibition accompanying the Forum. The ceremony was attended by a number of princes, ministers and businessmen.
