The members of Industrial Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) started their 24th meeting here today under the chairmanship of Bahrain's Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr. Hassan Abdullah Fakhro. In his speech, he praised the accession of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the World Trade Organization, describing this event as wonderful and historical. On behalf of the GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah, the GCC Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs Mohammad Obaid Al-Mazroai delivered a speech in which he said we congratulate ourselves on the Kingdom's joining the Organization which will give GCC countries a negotiating strength in the WTO. -
