Nine people were taken to hospital with minor injuries on Saturday after a train was partially derailed near the Scottish city of Inverness, British Transport Police said. "The front carriage of the three-carriage train hit a landslide and came off the tracks," a spokesman said. He said the injuries suffered by the driver and eight of the passengers were not serious. The 6:48 a.m. service from Edinburgh to Inverness was carrying 94 passengers when the accident occurred, about 45 minutes after leaving the Scotland's capital. Media reports said the landslide may have been caused by the blizzards which have affected much of the area for the past day or so.
