Culture and Information Minister Iyad bin Amin Madani will open on Saturday the Chinese Cultural Week activities at the National Museum Hall in King Abdulaziz Historic Center in Riyadh. The opening ceremony will be attended by the Chinese Deputy Culture Minister, Chawo Yusoi, a governmental Chinese delegation and a number of senior Saudi officials. The Under Secretary at the Culture and Information ministry for cultural affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammad Al-Sebeil said the organizing of the Chinese Cultural week is the result of the joint cultural cooperation treaty between the governments of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of China in the framework of Chinese & Arab Cooperation Forum Activities. Also, he pointed out to the several activities during this week including an exhibition on (China's) Silk Road and some acrobatic shows by "Alwosho" (circus) team in some parts of Riyadh city. Al-Sebeil added that the ministry of Culture and Information has already prepared a program for the members of the Chinese delegation; and hoped that this week will be the first step into a higher-level cultural communication between the two countries.
