Three killed in blast in central Baghdad -- police

Three people who appeared to be Westerners were killed in a roadside bomb blast near a checkpoint at the heavily fortified "Green Zone" in central Baghdad on Monday, police said.
Police said the dead were Americans but that could not be independently confirmed. At least two other people were injured, Reuters reported.
