Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister, expressed his optimism about the improvement of the situations in Iraq particularly after the great efforts exerted by the Arab League's Secretary General Amr Moussa and the wide favorable response from various Iraqi classes to the Arab initiative. Replying to questions during his reception of Moussa here today, Prince Saud said that the topic of Syria is Arab and comprehensive and has nothing to do with a certain country. He added that the Arab League Secretary General will visit Syria to coordinate Arab stands, expressing his satisfaction over Syria's positive response to the International Committee's investigations. This matter should be taken into consideration of the United Nations efforts in this framework, he noted. Syria has agreed on conducting the investigations, consequently the peace process should be given an opportunity to yield its fruits, Prince Saud Al-Faisal said. On his part, Moussa praised in an arrival statement the great role being played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of Arab cooperation. He pointed out that his visit to the Kingdom came within the framework of the consultations being held with officials in Arab countries particularly on the situation in Iraq.
