Montenegro, Nov 6, SPA -- Russia's foreign minister met officials in Belgrade Monday to discuss preparations for upcoming negotiations on the future of the contested province of Kosovo. At the start of his two-day visit, Sergey Lavrov held talks with his Serbia-Montenegro counterpart, Vuk Draskovic. In Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mikhail Kamynin told the ITAR-Tass agency Sunday that Russia's relation with Serbia-Montenegro "becomes particularly important" before the "decisive" talks on Kosovo's future. Lavrov is to travel later Monday to Kosovo, where he will meet with top U.N. administrator Soren Jessen-Petersen and the province's ailing President Ibrahim Rugova.
