Herzegovina, Nov 6, SPA -- The presidents of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia-Montenegro were to sign an agreement Monday on strengthening cooperation between the former Balkan foes. The leaders were meeting in Sarajevo, a gathering organized in part to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the war's end. Those attending the meeting included the Bosnian Muslim member of Bosnia's presidential troika, Sulejman Tihic, Croatian President Stipe Mesic and Serbia-Montenegro President Svetozar Marovic. They discussed relations 10 years after the end of Bosnia's 1992-95 war. Monday's agreement states that future relations between the countries should be based on mutual respect of sovereignty and internal affairs. It also includes a pledge to improve cooperation. The document is meant to build on the 1995 peace accords signed in Dayton, Ohio, that ended Bosnia's war.
