Azerbaijan's ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party has won Sunday's parliamentary vote with a reduced majority, a private exit poll carried out by two U.S.-based polling organisations said. The ruling party will take 56 seats in the 125-seat parliament, down from 75, according to an exit poll conducted by pollsters Mitofsky International and Edison Media Research, Reuters said. The main Azadlyq opposition bloc will take 12 seats, with the rest going to independents and minor parties, many of them allied to the government, the exit poll said. Official results have not yet been released. The exit poll was conducted by 3,000 interviewers in all but one of the constituencies, a spokesman for the pollsters told Reuters. --SP 2318 Local Time 2018 GMT
