The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said it would seek approval to provide $58 million in funds to help fight the spread of bird flu in the region. In a statement late Friday, the ADB said it would grant $30 million to a project to combat the virus in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Another $28 million was planned to help technical agencies, including the World Health Organization, U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Organization for Animal Health. The two projects may be approved next month by Dab's board of directors, Reuters quoted the statement as saying.
