A moderate earthquake rattled eastern Romania on Friday, causing no damages or injuries, the Institute for Earth Physics said, according to AP. The quake, which had a momentary magnitude of 4.0, struck at 04.17 a:m (0217GMT) in the Vrancea region, on the rim of the Carpathian Mountains, the institute said in a statement. It was not felt in the capital. Each year about 30 moderate earthquakes hit Romania.
