King affirms importance of Agricultural Sector in ensuring food security

The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has reiterated the keenness of the Saudi Government on extending support to the agricultural sector, realizing its economic and social importance and its role in ensuring food security.
The remarks of the King came here yesterday evening while presiding over the regular session of the Cabinet.
Minister of Culture and Information Iyad Madani, in his briefing to SPA, said the King had underlined the important responsibilities of the governors of the regions, and hoped that the governors would dedicate their efforts in the service of the citizens.
